Web Registration
Advising on courses and career options is accomplished collectively through the individual student, the College of Liberal Arts (COLA) Advisement Office, and a Geography and Environmental Resources faculty member who will serve as your Advisor.

Your Initial Contact with Geography & Environmental Resources
When you become a Geography and Environmental Resources major, the department secretary will begin a file for you that will include a record of your contacts with Geography and Environmental Resources advisors. This will include the courses you have taken, notes on recommendations by the advisors, and other relevant information that will help us advise you efficiently as you progress towards graduation. Please be certain that your email and mailing addresses are always current in your file!

Upon declaring a Geography and Environmental Resources major, students will be assigned a faculty advisor. The faculty advisement team consists of:

Arranging Advisement Sessions
The advisors prefer that you see them during the office hours they have reserved for advising. Geography and Environmental Resources staff have schedules that show when each faculty advisor is available for advising. Registering for Courses at College of Liberal Arts (CoLA) Advisement
While any CoLA Advisor can help you, Matt Sronkoski (email: mattski@siu.edu) is the Adviser who is especially knowledgeable about registration for Geography and Environmental Resources majors.
